It took quite a while before my wife found out that I was living a double life. I thought I had everything under control. Sex was something that I needed and secretly got anywhere I could. I would seek out sexual encounters while on business trips, with acquaintances and family friends, and anywhere I could. I knew I needed to seek help when she said she was leaving. I reached out to The Florida Center for Healthy Sexuality not knowing what to expect. I was full of secrets, shame, and wanting to avoid all I could but still save my family. I found the help that I needed, and our marriage is better than it ever has been today. I still work on my addiction everyday however, I now have the tools to control my thoughts, which is key.
